SO WHAT ARE THE NEXT STEPS?

What does an engagement with E-Squared Look Like?

After we have mutually decided that E-Squared is a good fit for your organization we will sign a contract that includes a mutual non-disclosure (NDA). Your data, relationships, and accounting details belong to you. We will not accept invitations to software or platforms until this contract is in place in order to protect both parties.

Step 1: Admin & Set-Up

  1. Transfer email box or create new one for the E^2 team on your domain

  2. Grant access to accounting software or records

  3. Access to all files in cloud drive or hand us all your paper and we will put it in the cloud for you

  4. Logins for Banks, Credit Cards, Major Vendors, Payroll Systems, Internal Communications Platforms, etc

  5. Consolidation of all prior filings: taxes, annual reports, prior board packages

  6. Introductions to CPA, Insurance Broker, Benefits Providers, etc (If you don’t have any of these, we will help you find them when the time is right.)

Step 2: E-Squared Familiarization

  1. Emily will start digging through your financials and records to assess what needs to be done

  2. E^2 team will do variance analysis to try and figure out patterns of spend in your business and any areas of concern

  3. Emily will also review all processes that were handled by your accounting resource prior to E-Squared. We’ll discuss with you and see what processes we want to keep and what can use improvement. You can be involved or you can just let us run with it and put our best practices in place.

Step 3: Doing the Work

  1. We’ll start handling all the day to day tasks and create processes and automation for everything. Overall processes will be set up by Emily, then handed off to the team.

  2. Our Staff Accountants will check your email box and accounting dashboard at least every other day to see if any new work is pending.

  3. Emily will be available on your internal slack/gchat channel if you ever have an urgent issue or questions.

  4. Emily will pop into your accounts if E^2 team flags something of note, on your set schedule if required, and always manages Month End Close

  5. We’ll create calendar items to flag major events such as Government Filings and Large Contract Expiration dates.

  6. E^2 uses Slack, Trello, Google Calendar, and Screenshare tools to internally manage our To Do’s and communicate.

  7. Each client mailbox includes a range of labels and filters to sort tasks.

  8. Every Dropbox, Google Drive, Box has the same uniform structure to make sure you have the data you need at your figure tips.
